LD 1203, the legislative bill for Biddeford Downs will hit the house chambers this upcoming Monday at approximately 10:30 am. To show solidarity as a group, horsemen are asked to gather on the 3rd floor of the statehouse at 8:30 am to gain support of this bill.

Supporters would like lawmakers to see the faces of the people in the harness racing industry. Supporters want the lawmakers to know that this bill is critical to the livelihood and to the future of the harness racing industry.

Horsemen that are worried that they cannot attend due to racing conflicts at Bangor Raceway can still make an appearance at the statehouse showing support for the bill. Lawmakers will not be accessible once they go on the floor for the debate and vote at 10:30am. Those that must be at Bangor Raceway can leave at that time.

Those wishing to stay and listen to the proceedings are welcome to and can also talk to lawmakers during their breaks during the day.
