Windsor Fair has two events to highlight their nine day fair. Windsor Fair starts this Sunday (Aug 29) and runs through Labor Day with Harness Racing every day of the fair.

The Maine Harness Racing Promotional Board and the Windsor Fair have partnered with Tioga Downs in Tioga, New York to provide our harness racing fans with the chance to be selected to receive a Jason Bartlett Bobblehead. Annually, Tioga Downs recognizes one outstanding driver in the country with this distinction. Jason is this year’s recipient and we wish to continue this honor here at his home track.

Jason currently plans to be at Windsor Fair on both Sundays of the meet. Two bobbleheads will be given away on each race those two Sundays as well as one each race on Labor Day. On Monday through Saturday a bobblehead will be given out after the 3,6, 9, 12 races. This will be done in conjunction with the lucky winner drawings.

Your racing ticket needs to have you name and town/city printed on it, back preferred. Then place your ticket in the appropriated bucket located in the racing area. Good luck to everyone and thanks for your support.

The Windsor Fair will continue the Classic Silks Challenge which was held at Bangor Raceway the last week of July. It will be a three race event and will honor sixteen older drivers from the past, most which are retired or race only occasionally. The races will be held opening Sunday, Thursday and the final on the second Sunday. Eight drivers will compete for the top four spots on the first Sunday and eight more drivers will race Thursday to qualify for the last four spots in the final. Rumor has it that several of these individuals have been practicing for these races with hopes of bringing home the bragging rights and the championship honors.

It should be a fun time and bring back many racing memories from the past. We hope that everyone can be there to cheer on their favorite driver. Currently, there is no favorite in the event but plenty of long shots to bet on.
