Steve Nason held the hot hand Sunday (March 31) at Scarborough Downs engineering a gang of three winning strategies to top all drivers during the matinee performance. Included in his tally were Map of Hawaii (2:03), Four Starz Skate (1:59), and Miss Annalise (1:58.4).

His three wins on the program earned him second place in the driver’s standings after the inaugural weekend of racing at The Downs, trumped only by Gary Mosher’s meet-leading four wins.

In other news, track-record holder IPO Blue Chip scored the win in Sunday’s $5,500 Free For All event with Shawn Thayer calling the shots for trainer Randy Bickmore.

Live racing resumes Friday and Saturday (4 pm post) with the Sunday matinee at 1:05 pm.
