Supporters of Biddeford Downs are asking horsemen to contact members of the Veterans and Legal Affairs Committee asking them to support LD 1203.

“On Monday there was a public hearing on LD 1203 which would create a racino in Biddeford and Calais. Many (horsemen) were there in droves. It was truly a great turnout but the battle is far from over.” states Crystal Canney from Canney Communications. She says that even if you’ve contacted them before, it will help if you contact them again. The committee members should be told your personal story and why the legislation to pass LD1203 is so important.

Toby McGrath with Maine Street Solutions says “The opposition is contacting members of the committee. The Casino No forces have been building their lists since 2003 so they have an upper hand there but we can trump them. Please email out to your respective lists of members, employees, friends and family the below email. Please let us know the responses from the legislators. Thank you!”
