MHHA to pay expert fees on TCO2 Positive Tests |

December 23, 2010 |
The MHHA Board of Directors has approved a maximum allotment of $7,200 to pay for
the fees for two experts, Dr. Lawrence Soma and Mr. Patrick Demers, to assist in
the examination of the TCO2 collection and testing process of the Maine State
Harness Racing Commission. The MHHA is not contributing to the payment for a legal
counsel. The responsibility for those payments occurs with our members who have
chosen to appeal through the mechanism of the MSHRC adjudicatory hearing process.
The board strongly believes that the examination of the TCO2 collection and testing
process is an important issue for our entire membership and hopes that conducting
this examination will serve to clarify the "Black Box" issue.
