Handicappers looking to wager on this year’s Triple Crown day racing cards are invited to participate in the “Triple Crown Handicapping Tournament” being held at Hollywood Slots Hotel & Raceway’s Win Place & Show Simulcast Lounge.

The tournament will take place on the three Saturdays of this year’s Triple Crown races: May 1, Kentucky Derby; May 15, Preakness Stakes; and June 5, Belmont Stakes. Entry for each Saturday is $10. Prizes will be awarded at the end of each day for the top three finishers based on the race card at Churchill Downs, Pimlico Race Course and Belmont Park.

Half of the money received for entry fees for each day’s card will be paid at the end of the day, and the other half will be rolled over for the tournament grand prize. There will be a minimum of $1,000 in total payouts split among the five overall tournament winners. The more handicappers that play, the higher the prize pool will climb.

The Win Place & Show Simulcast Lounge features 50 televisions - 33 of which are flat screens - showing national simulcast racing along with TVG Interactive Horseracing and other local and national sporting events. The Simulcast Lounge is open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 11:30 a.m. – 11:00 p.m., Sunday and Tuesday 11:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Friday through Saturday 11:30 a.m. – midnight.

Live harness racing at Hollywood Slots Hotel & Raceway begins Tuesday, May 11.
