Three-time State of Maine Trotter of the Year,
Kerogen, gave his all on Easter Sunday (April
4) but his all was not enough to overcome the
powerful emergence of a brand-new force: Tsarina,
a 6-year-old NY-bred mare, owned by George Resta,
of Annapolis, MD, and trained and driven by
Ron Cushing.
Rob Dinning also held the hot hand at Scarborough
Downs on Sunday with 3 wins on the day’s card;
5 total for the weekend for owner Kevin Gee
of Falmouth, and top-rated trainer, Randy Bickmore.
Bickmore, two-time defending Trainer of the
Year at Scarborough Downs, is off to a hot start
once again this season, topping the leader’s
board after the first weekend of action.
Scarborough Downs proudly features live
harness racing on Saturday evening at 4:00
pm (EDT). The popular Sunday matinees feature
a 1:30 pm post time.
